Diablo Octane Fairway Woods
Excellent club, great price
I bought this club to replace another 3wood I was having trouble hitting consistently. Found it during an additional sale on CGPO for a steal. I selected the Average rating because of the price. With shipping the club cost me $52. Received it the day before an outing and had little time on the range with it but I must say I am excited about the possibilities it gives me out on the course. Tee shot or from the fairway this club has become my new best friend. Although it was rated in average condition it looks as if it has hardly been used. But for a few faint marks on the sole it is virtually brand new. We have all seen demo clubs with more wear and tear on them than this one. The head cover and grip were brand new as well. I have been a fan of Callaway since I first saw the S2H2s of years gone by. Even own a set of them and have not found anything that works for me better. The diablo Octane will be in my bag until I can no longer play. Look ing forward to getting the driver, etc. to match.

Replaced mydriver with three wood
I am 74 years old, 16 hdc. and replaced my 460cc driver with a Callaway Octane Diablo three wood, 15 degrees, (not the tour model) stiff shaft. I hit almost all the fairways off the tee, sometimes with a slight draw. I was lucky to hit 4 out of 14 with the driver. Due to age, my swing speed is 82 miles per hour, so the extra loft, shorter shaft works . I play with a 15 handicapper and out drive him on many holes, he uses a 460cc driver. To me the three wood is a driver, it's just has a shorter shaft and more loft. Look up Greg Norman's tip #48, it has a great explanation why recreational golfers and amateurs should tee off with a three wood.

Great 3 wood for off the tee
Wow is all I have to say about this 3 wood. This is easy to hit and long. This will be used more then my driver unless I am teeing off on a wide open, long par 4. This club will get you plenty of distance and is forgiving, and with 15 degrees of loft, a 3 wood is easier to hit straight then even the most forgiving drivers. This is a great club to have in your bag. And once again, Callaway pre-owned comes through with a great club.

Love the 5 wood.. Only one issue, The generic head cover is way too small for this club

Long and Accurate
I have picked up some of the distance that age has stolen from me and I find my ball in the fairway. This is a great club!

Glad I bought it
The Diablo Octane replaced my Big Bertha Diablo 3 wood and I love it. It performs better for me than others like RBZ, Titleist, Cleveland and even newer models of Callaway. It is longer of the tee, fairway and rough. So far have not hit any in the woods, most of my shots have landed in the fairway and due to the length of shots club selection has changed for the better at course I frequent.

I like the look and feel of the club.
I have the Diablo Octane 5 wood and liked it so much that I decided to get the 3 wood. I am vey pleased with both of the clubs.
