Comments about Callaway Golf FT-i Drivers:

Haven't had it on the golf course yet, weather has been too lousy. I have been on the range 6 times with it. The first couple of outings were not impressive, I was slicing it and snap hooking it, and was wondering about all those reviews saying that it was impossible to hit it anywhere but straight. However, starting with the 3rd range visit, I am hammering it straight down the middle almost every shot. If I miss at all, there doesn't appear to be a huge loss of distance. Great club.

what is the difference between average and good condition for used clubs?

                  1 answer

                  • CUSTOMER CARE

                    A:

Average clubs (around 100 rounds) have been used but not abused. They will show normal wear from frequent play and may have natural scratches, pop up marks and/or bag wear on the shaft. These are great clubs for those looking for performance and value and are less concerned about cosmetics. Good clubs (around 50-75 rounds) have seen normal use (usually several seasons) but are in better than average shape for that particular model club. They may have some cosmetic imperfections but will look better than the average club in most players’ bags.

What ios the difference between "draw" and "neutral "in selection

                  • CUSTOMER CARE

                    A:

The draw bias club will have more weight toward the heel of the club and will help reduce a fade or slice. The neutral bias club will have a centered weighting and will be better for those who want to shape the ball.

                    A:

A draw bias club has more weight in the heel of the club to help promote a draw or eliminate a fade/slice.

                    A:

The FT-i will come in full degree lofts, whereas the Tour model will come in half degree lofts. The V on the club is a way to line the ball up with the center of the clubhead.

How do you determine what shaft flex is best for your golf swing?

                    A:

A senior flex is recommended for a swing speed under 80 mph. A regular flex is recommended for a swing speed from 80-90 mph, and a stiff shaft is meant for someone with a swing speed over 90 mph.

Hi, I am a 29year old lady golfer with a high handicap and an average swing speed of 65mph. I am hesitating with the loft I should get. I currently own a 13deg X460 and I would like to upgrade to the FT-i. Should I get the 13deg loft or try the 11deg? I have been playing for 5 years now. Thanks

                  • CUSTOMER CARE

                    A:

If you are having a problem getting the ball in the air off the tee, than stick with the 13°. If you feel that you have improved and are not having a ball flight problem than definitely get the 11°. It will all depend on how high you hit off the tee. The higher you hit it, the lower loft you need.

                    A:

If you tend to slice the ball, I would recommend getting the Draw bias. The weighting on the club is more toward the heel to help eliminate a slice or fade. For more information on this club and what loft would suit your game best, please call our sales team at 1-800-200-4726.

                    A:

Kick point is where the shaft bends or kicks during the swing. The higher the kick point, the lower the ball flight will be. The lower the kick point, the higher the ball flight will be. Swing speed affects the shaft flex much more than kick point. For more information please call our sales department at 1-800-200-4726.

Standard length on the FT-i drivers is 45.75".

                  • A:

Most drivers run from 44.5 to 45.5. Nothing is harder to find on-line than the length of the shaft in a golf club. The rules are nothing less that 18 inches and nothing more that 48 inches except a putter.

                    A:

The FT-I would be a great fit for you. It will be more hot off the face than your current driver but it will assist with your slice. We offer the FT-I in a draw bias that can help correct that. It is also a really forgiving driver.

Both are going to be very accurate and forgiving, but if you are looking for a combination of both forgiveness and distance I would recommend the Diablo driver.

A comparable shaft to the 586 speeder would be the Fujikura Fit-On ZCOM shaft. It is a few grams lighter but has similar kick point and torque specs.

I have the FT-i LCG Tour neutral 9.5 and slice more than the casual fade that I wanted. I have tried strong grip; repositioning ball more forward at address and forward press but receive hardly any improvement to the slice. Any suggestions?

My first thought is you shouldn't be in a tour model. The face is open instead of 1° closed. I can only help with product. Your going to have to get someone to look at your swing for any instruction advise.

Your club head direction is too much outside to inside causing the club head to come across the ball at impact.

                    A:

Average condition clubs have been used but not abused. They will show normal wear from frequent play and may have natural scratches, pop up marks and/or bag wear on the shaft. These are great clubs for those looking for performance and value and are less concerned about cosmetics.

                    Hi,

The draw bias on these drivers means that the internal weighting of the club will help golfers who slice correct it. Thus it will help straighten out your slice.
