Product Overview

Fusion Technology melds with the versatility of hybrids
The next generation of hybrids features our proprietary Fusion Technology. A stainless steel face and body combine with a tungsten-infused sole to optimize the center of gravity (CG) and increase the moment of inertia (MOI) for superior forgiveness.

  • Fusion Technology: Multi-material construction enters a new phase as a stainless steel face and body combine with a tungsten-loaded sole plate that helps Callaway Golf engineers strategically place the CG for optimal ball flight trajectories and shot-shaping control.
  • OptiFit System: Our proprietary OptiFit System enables golfers to customize their club to fit their individual shot shape by giving them two CG locations to choose from in most lofts: Draw for promoting a draw or reducing a slice/fade, and Neutral for maximum workability.
  • Tungsten-Infused Sole Design: The sole is designed with a lower leading edge, making the sweet spot more accessible for various skill levels. The dual runner sole design ensures cleaner turf interaction for more flushed shots.
  • Traditional Hosel: A new look from Callaway Golf, the stainless steel hosel creates the aesthetics and customization that appeal to a wider range of players while the use of Fusion Technology maintains the playability benefits of an S2H2 and Tru-Bore design. In addition, the hosel allows our engineers to add loft without increasing face progression for more confidence at address.
  • Wood-Type Hybrid Design: The design allows for a variety of different shots from the fairway, rough or around the greens, while delivering increased forgiveness compared to long irons.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-Hybrids (2008):

I am playing less now with a new job and needed easier 3&4 irons to hit. These have been great. You really need to hit them like an iron. I had great success with them the first time out.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-Hybrids (2008):

I was never consistent with the Heavenwood hybrids. My shots were left, right and occasionally straight. My shot pattern with the FT hybrid is much more consistent. I feel very comfortable hitting this club from almost any lie.
Another plus is the Callaway folks are GREAT to work with, the clubs are always better than described and at a fair price! I will NOT hesitate to purchase additional clubs in the future.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-Hybrids (2008):

I have taken the 3 thru 5 irons out of the bag and replace with the hybrids. No second guessing about hitting the hybrids. The draw feature has my shots right down the middle.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-Hybrids (2008):

I bought the #4 Hybrid to replace my 4-iron and I've notice a considerable difference. I actually hit the hybrid the same distance but with more height on the ball flight which lands softer on the greens. I will be replacing my 3-iron next.

I purchased this club again since my x-20's do not have a 3 iron. It hits clean from the fairway and light rough. I highly recommended it for anyone that is looking to finally add a hybrid to their bag.

This is my first hybrid and I was surprised at how well it performs. I hit a 3 iron around 190 yards and I'm hitting the hybrid about fifteen yards further.
Very forgiving club with a great launch angle.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-Hybrids (2008):

After years of living with errant long iron shots I finally tried a hybrid to replace my 3 iron. The feel of the club is great and I don't find myself overswinging to get the distance I need. If you don't like the baseball bat stinging feel when you hit your long irons then try a hydrid.

First time using this club was 160 yards towards the water hazard on a par 5. Made an easy swing and the ball was high, straight and true and landed about 10 yards back from the water. Next shot on the par 5 was on the green 5 yards above the hole. Putted in for par.

What is the difference between a nuetral and a draw hybrid?

                      A:

A neutral bias club will have a centered weight, and is better for shaping the ball. A draw bias will have more weight toward the heel of the club, and will help reduce a fade/slice.

                    • A:

I believe the draw hybrid sets one up for a closed face for a draw. Nice, if you are a slicer.

We do have the 2 hybrid in 18° available on our site for women, however the 2 hybrid is only available in a neutral bias.
