Product Overview

A product of propriety Fusion Technology
A stainless steel face and body combine with the tungsten-infused sole to enable strategic positioning of discretionary weight for a higher moment of inertia (MOI) and precise positioning of the center of gravity (CG). The OptiFit Weighting System on the Callaway FT offers a Draw or Neutral CG bias to fit individual shot shapes.

  • Fusion Technology: Multi-material construction enters a new phase, combining a stainless steel face and body with a tungsten-infused sole plate. This allows Callaway Golf engineers to strategically place the CG for optimal ball flight trajectories and shot-shaping control.
  • OptiFit Weighting System: Customize your club by choosing between two CG locations in most lofts: Draw for promoting a draw or reducing a slice/fade, and Neutral for maximum workability.
  • Dual Runner Sole Design: Designed with a lower leading edge to make the sweet spot more accessible for various skill levels. The dual runner design ensures cleaner turf interaction for more flushed shots.
  • Traditional Hosel: A new look for Callaway Golf, the stainless steel hosel creates performance and customization that appeal to a wider range of players, while the use of Fusion Technology maintains all the playability benefits of an S2H2 and Tru-Bore design.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Go with a 2H not this 3 wood The club has too much flex. Does not have a good feel in hand or swinging. Instead, would recommend a 2hybrid regular shaft. March 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have always liked FT draw bias. The draw bias in FT fairway woods always helps me to hit the ball hard without fade or slice. I also have same club in a 5 wood and hit both clubs with authority. July 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by FT fairways I really like the look of this club. Has an older club design but really sends the ball when it is swung properly. June 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good clubs good clubs bought them with a draw bias slice is now more like a fade June 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the new Callaway wood The new 3 wood has allowed me to add extra distance on my fairway shots, making GIR much easier to achieve. March 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best club in my bag Best club I have ever purchased March 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice feel at contact. I am definitely keeping this club, a right-handed FT 4-wood. I wanted a 17º fairway wood, to get 200-215 off the tee, and this fits that spec. A big plus is that it's shorter than my 3-wood and only a little longer than my 7-wood, so I think that helps me with contact. I ordered the "Draw" style, and I am hitting many more STRAIGHT tee shots than I had been, or definitely fewer slices. Sadly, the club is not fool-proof against slicing; probably none are. My fairway shots might have a slight fade, but it's not as exaggerated as with other woods. But a couple of times I have seen the draw, the way it's supposed to fly, and it's a thing of beauty. I also really like the contact feel and sound when I hit it well. It does great from tee, fairway, and first-cut rough, too. September 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product The only disappointment was the quality of the grip. After swinging the club 10 to 15 times the grip had disintegrated and needed to be replaced. Once I was done with that it has been a great addition to my golf bag. September 9, 2013
