Product Overview

The new FT-5 Tour Driver is the latest evolution in clubhead design utilizing our revolutionary Fusion Technology. 50 grams of discretionary weight has been created using a Carbon Fiber Body — creating the OptiFit Weighting System that produces three center of gravity configurations: Draw, Neutral and Fade. The larger, more robust CT/VFT Titanium cup face is designed to the legal limit, as defined by the USGA Characteristic Time test, resulting in increased ball speed, distance and forgiveness — even on miss-hits. The Tour model (designated by half-degree lofts – 8.5°, 9.5° and 10.5°) has a slightly open face providing highly skilled golfers a more pleasing look at address and increased workability.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-5 Tour Drivers:

I upgraded from the Hyper-X tour to the FT-5 Tour. Great choice and design. The neutral face supports all the workability I can produce, and the club is hot across the entire face. Mis-hits are not really mis-hits since I still find the fairway with minimal loss of distance.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-5 Tour Drivers:

I am far more accurate with club than my old Taylor 580. Problem is this club fell apart on me after a great tee shot. I heard a thud and a rattle and then the face started pulling away from the head. I am now forced to play my Taylor because I have some tournaments coming up. Has this happened to anybody else?

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-5 Tour Drivers:

I purchased this club as an upgrade to my previous FT-5 (this is the Tour model.) This model has a slightly open face to promote fade and I purchased an upgraded shaft (Mitsubishi Javln M7) to match my swing characteristics. I have added approximately 20-25yds to my drive on the hits that I connect with but it has taken a few weeks to adjust to the new shaft. Fortunately I did not have to adjust to a new head. The FT-5 is a remarkable driver that feels great when hit right and gives good feedback for off-center hits. The Neutral bias allows for some workability although I tend not to stray more than 20-30yds from my line.

Went to higher loft to clear trees off tee. 10.5 draw with Regular Flex shaft seems to be longer at present. Holding Senior Flex 11.0 Neutral for future use.

Average condition on a driver usually consist of 2-3 years of play on the head. It will usually have scratches and small chips to the paint job. Condition will not affect the playablity of any of our clubs. you will hit an average driver just as far and straight as a like new driver.
