I used my son's Diablo Octane Tour and hit it 300 yards the first time I swung it. 280 yards the second time. I'll be 65 next week and was hitting the ball 230 - 250 yards with my Big Bertha (16 year old club). I had to have my own. What an improvement. Great products, great service, great guarantee. Callaway is the best

I purchased this driver to match the 3 wood and hybrids I already had in the same Callaway model. However, this driver came with an Aldila RIP shaft whereas my other clubs have the stock Callaway graphite shaft. Overall I would rate the performance and appearance of this driver slightly above average. I did not gain any additional distance with it, but I do have reasonably good control. However, I do not like the sound and feel of this club. When you hit the ball it sounds like a dull thud and has little if any feel. I've never experienced anything like it before and I've played golf for 50 years. It could be the shaft or perhaps there is some characteristic of the head design that is flawed. Whatever the case, its not good.

The club performs well in many different circumstances but has very little forgiveness for mishits. My typical drive is about 270 with a slight fade. My mishits are usually a fairly bad slice, missing the target by about 35 yards and this club hasn't helped that in the least. My well struck drives are going a little further than my old TaylorMade driver, but that's to be expected with 5 years newer technology.
After hitting the Razr Fit driver at a recent demo day it was obvious that I've made the wrong choice by going with this driver. It's a good driver but is not very forgiving and has an awkward sound.
