The Big Bertha 2008 Irons take forgiveness to new heights by integrating a set of clubs featuring the new i-brids™, clubs designed to replace hard-to-hit long irons. The i-brids combine the accuracy & control of irons with the forgiveness & versatility of a hybrid & are the most highly playable hybrid-like irons Callaway Golf could make.

In the women's model the 4 through 7 iron is always going to be the i-brid version while the 8 thru lob wedge will be the traditional.

On the men's model the 3 through 5 iron comes in both i-brid and traditional. Please look for the 'i' designation when making your selection.

      primative sticks compared to the 2008's.

                          A uniflex shaft plays between a regular and stiff flex and is the most common shaft in golf. It adjusts to your swing speed so that if you swing harder it plays like a stiff, and if you swing easier it plays like a regular flex.

                          You could use a standard length iron set for your height. If for any reason that they may feel short, then you can always have the length extended at that time. The Big Bertha irons will be hard to compare to the Taylor Made Burner Plus irons. The Callaway comparison for the the Burner Plus irons will the the X Series irons for example, the X-22 irons. They are made for a lower handicap player.
