Product Overview

The Big Bertha 460 Driver is designed with a geometric shape close to the dimensional limit set by the USGA and Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews for length and width. This enabled Callaway Golf engineers to incorporate a 460cc head design with a shallower face, flatter shape and the highest MOI ever in a Callaway Golf all-titanium head. That means a longer and straighter ball flight on off-center shots. In addition, the Stretched Head Design allows the CG to be positioned deeper within the clubhead to achieve optimum ball flight and maximum forgiveness.

Comments about Callaway Golf Big Bertha 460 Drivers:

I first used this club as a "here, try this" years ago. It was amazing then, and, now that I could afford one of my own, it is still amazing. If you are looking for a great driver, this is it.

I was told the shaft was a 60 gram shaft/stiff. The shaft I was sent was a 55 gram shaft/stiff. The driver was in excellent shape, which was rated "like new." Other than the wrong shaft, I like the driver.

Comments about Callaway Golf Big Bertha 460 Drivers:

This club is 10 grams lighter than my previous driver, 55 grams to 65. The shaft was the same specs, Adilla NVS Stiff. This gave me a few mph clubhead speed for a few extra yards. And the lighter weight made the control easier.
It was a win win situation. Most of the time of the time that does not happen.

Average clubs have been used but not abused. They will show normal wear from frequent play and may have natural scratches, pop up marks and/or bag wear on the shaft. These are great clubs for those looking for performance and value and are less concerned about cosmetics.

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

Very good will only have around 10-15 rounds of golf with no major scratches on the club.
Good will have around 30 rounds and will have small scratches on the face and bottom of club.
Average will have about 50+ rounds and will have paint chips and scratches on the crown and faces.

All conditions will play the same. The only difference will be cosmetic.

The Big Bertha 460 does not come in a 10*5 degree. The difference however between the 10*5 degree head and a 10 degree head will be the trajectory as the 10*5 degree head will have a slightly higher trajectory.

            • Q:

Does the Big Bertha 460 have the equivalent soft feel that can be found in an old Big Bertha War Bird ladies club (12 degrees) that I borrowed in an emergency recently? This club was most forgiving. Yet with a full swing, I was able to work this club with comparatively good line and distance. What impressed me about this club was its 'feel' and forgiving nature. (It had a good sound to it, too, although a little loud.)

This is what I am trying to find in a new purchase of a Callaway driver.

Joe Kralis has recommended this club and I see no reason not to go with it.

              I need a men's club with:
              11 degree loft
              Regular flex
              Right-handed
              Swing: full turn
              Weight: 10 stone
              Height: 5' 9"
              Age; 59

Firstly, since this club is so different from the warbird that you should try it first. And if the shaft you want to use may be "A" since you like the soft feel, distance and control you get with a soft shaft. These titanium clubs sound much different from the steel clubs and are a bit quieter nevertheless.

I am a beginner golfer 61 years old. The big bertha driver was suggested to me. i am considering ordering a pre-owned one but don't know what loft degree I should get. There is a 9 degree and an 11 degree available. Which should I get?
              Thanks

Johnny get the 11. Just flat-out easier to hit/control.

Get 11 degrees - it will be easier to hit and give you more distance
