HX Diablo Tour Golf Balls
Permanetly switching from ProV1
I bought these at the last minute before an outing.I have played Pro V1 or 1x for over 5 years and never hit another ball that would cause me to change although I have tried many, Bridgestone, Taylor Made, Nike etc.I was hesitant at first but for [$] I just felt what the heck can't go wrong.Boy was I glad I did. This ball surprised me on every aspect of the game from the first tee shot with driver, the approach into the green with wedge that backed up at foot, to draining a ten foot birdie putt that felt everybit as good as the Pro V1.Putter feel and spind were my biggest concerns but for my particular experience it was a seamless transition, truly taken aback.I play a mixed bag of clubs, Ping, Titleist no of which are Callaway (sorry Callaway). My playing partner who is a Titlesist sponsored player asked to try one out and he played it the rest of the round, in fact he bought a sleeve in the pro shop afterwards. No more $45.00 a dozen balls for me, I can get two for one with these.I know not everyone will share my feelings in this review and know that I am not in anyway affiliated with Callaway nor have I ever written a review bit I felt it important enough to take a few minutes to write about my experience and to honestly say there is finally a ball to compare to the Pro V line for 1/2 the price.Great Job Callaway!

Personalize Diablo Tour Golf Ball
Had a little trouble getting the right initials on the ball, but after that was resolved - the ball is great, good distance and feel around the greens as well - for those who want tour ball qualities and a reduced price

great feel and control
I scored my 1st ACE with this ball on a very windy day. Par 3 170 yds 5 iron this ball did a great job holding its line in the wind and holding the green. Great value will use every day for now on.

best 3 piece ball I found for my game. I had great results off the driver, and really like the way it performs around the green. I like the way it feels off the putter as well. The Diablo Tour does everything I need a golf ball to do.
The Diablo Tour replaced the E6 I had been playing. Thanks Callaway!

I want to first start by saying that for the past 3yrs I've been on a quest to find a "less expensive" ball that would even remotely compare to the Titleist Prov1X. I've tried them all...from Pinnacles, Nike, Taylormade black & red, Top Flight, and Srixons but none provided the distance off the driver, the right amount of spin with both the long and short irons, and the feel and roll off the putter as the Prov1x. So yesterday I asked my brother if I could try a sleeve of his Calllaway HX Diablo Tours to compare on the back 9. Boy was I impressed with these balls! They were straight, long off the tee and my approach shot with my short irons spun back only about 3-5ft which was perfect for me since I play the distance to the pin. With the HX Diablo Tours I also hit a 210 yard approach shot with a 3-hybrid that landed on the front of the green and rolled out just another 6-8 ft right next to the hole. When I was chipping with the HX Tours it rolled out a little more than the ProV1x but I simply made the adjustments. To be honest, I was hitting most of the greens on the back nine with these balls so I couldn't really say how they compared to the ProV1X in the chipping arena. For the most part these balls are a keeper! Callaway- Thanks for putting out a great ball that everyone can enjoy and afford!

Good entry level 3-piece, not great
I wish I could give this ball 31/2 stars, but I can't round up in this instance. For whatever reason, I found the Top Flite Gamer V2 to be a much better ball than this. I know, I know, I must be crazy. However, I was playing the V2 for about 2 months until I couldn't find them anymore, so I switched to the HX Diablo tour. I just bought my second dozen. It's not a bad ball, don't get me wrong, but I just feel it doesn't stand up to it's cousin the V2. It doesn't hold greens nearly as well. It doesn't spin nearly as much. It doesn't have better feel and feedback. And it is harder to control consistently. I would probably say though that the HX tour is a bit longer than the V2. Overall it is a good product in it's price range, but I think you would be better of with the cheaper V2.

Good distance ball
Purchased a dozen before my recent golf trip to Va. Liked the ball very much from the first swing. It does seem to fly a bit farther than comparable balls and seems to be a bit straighter off the tee, fairway and rough. The ball is good to putt with and has a solid feel. You can produce acceptable spin on wedges and other short irons. If you're looking for max spin, this is not your ball, but if you want a very good overall ball for the price, you won't be disappaointed.

Very Long and Straight but Not Much Spin
In the spring this past year I purchased new irons and started playing with a box of these that were a gift. I found I was two clubs longer which I put down to the new irons never thinking it might be the balls. After I exhausted my supply I switched to NXT Tour S's looking for more stopping power on the green (the Diablo's were rolling out 10-15 ft.). While the NXT's stopped a lot quicker I lost at least a club length in distance.
