Big Bertha Irons is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, long and buttery soft. A very high quality club, easy to hit and one of the best feeling clubs I have ever used. The game improvement is hidden very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for this High-Handicapper I hit the Raxr X irons for a few years. I bought them to replace my original irons, the 2004 Big Berthas. I never hit the Raxr X irons as well as I would have liked, so I decided to tryout the new Big Bertha irons. I hit 30 shots in a simulator each with my old 7 iron, an XR 7 iron, and the Big Bertha 7 iron. In the end, I averaged 10 more yards on the Big Berthas (5 more for the XR's), up an entire club from the Razr X's. On the course, I'm hitting the Big Berthas higher, and landing my approach shots softer. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All round I have only bein playing for 1 year and tried out so many clubs and these are the best ones I have tried. I recommend these to any one from a pro to beginner. Great feel /awesome distance and most of all good accuracy I have to give these a 10 out of 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I highly recommend at least trying these out before purchasing any other club. Beware, I'm Back! I am 2 months shy of 69 yrs old and generally shoot in the mid 70's to low 80's. The past 2 years my 26 year old Ping Eye 2's have lost about one club length in distance. No Fault of the club, but I needed help. I was looking for something with a stronger loft which I found out that most of the newer clubs now have. I attended a recent 'demo day' at Northway 8 golf and hit Titlist AP1, Ping G30, G, Gmax, Nike, and Callaway XR, XR/OS, and these Big Bertha Irons. All with both graphite and steel shafts. Yes, I hit a LOT of balls. For me the Big Bertha's were the most forgiving, most consistent, and generally 'felt' the best. They also gave me back the missing 10-15 yards. I went with the steel shafts as the graphite did not provide any significant improvement and were less consistent. The best thing I noticed was how forgiving these are on slight miss hits. I added a Callaway Hybrid 3 which is equally impressive and gave me back my 210-220 yard club. I have to also comment on how much the Professional at Northway 8 helped me in choosing the right club along with some other swing improvements. I highly recommend Northway 8 Golf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BB Irons I was a club pro for 12 years and played blades my entire life.. My old irons were 14 years old, my hybrids had steel shafts in them and my 3 wood was a original Callaway "steel head" 20 plus years old. I am now a 4 handicap and just play golf for fun. These irons are amazing!!! I am at least two clubs longer but what really makes me laugh is how far the ball goes when you miss it. I hit a 8 iron from 165 dead in the toe (and thin) and it made it to the front of the green. If I had my old clubs I would have had an electric shock go into my hands and be 15 years short. These clubs are supposed to be for higher handicap people, 100% NOT TRUE. I can knock down and still work the ball. Stop trying to be a tour pro. wake up. You're not that good....now go get a set of these. As thanks for the advice you can donate to the Market Street Mission in Morristown New Jersey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Bertha irons and hybrids I am a 70 year old right handed male with a 16 handicap. I've been a Callaway club owner for most of my 40 years of playing golf. 2 years ago I was some what fitted for the Callaway Edge hybrids. They were ok, but I'm trying to get back to using more irons and less hybrids. I thought I would try a different manufacturer and decided to try out Taylor Made M2 irons and hybrids. I went to Golfsmith and a 30 year golf pro work with me on selecting the right clubs for me and my game. He had me try out six different clubs with five different manufacturers. (Titleist, Ping, Taylormade, Mizuno, and Callaway XR, and Big Bertha) To make a long story short the Callaway Big Bertha won out for my game. I hit them longer and straighter than any others. I was hitting my old 7 iron 140-145. I was hitting the Big Bertha 7 iron 150-159 and straight. I did not buy my clubs there. Instead I went to a golf pro shop nearer to my home. Again I work with a club pro and club fitter. I told him about me and my game and never mentioned that I was at Golfsmiths to be fitted. He right away fitted me to the Callaway Big Bertha clubs. Was this a coincidence or are the Big Bertha clubs so much better than all others? He made a few changes to the standard iron and had me hit the seven iron with three different shafts. When he was finally done fitting me to the Big Bertha clubs I was hitting them 10 to 15 yards longer and straight. The clubs came in a week ago and I went right out to his driving range to try them out. What a difference they are going to make in my game. Again I was hitting them much longer and straight. The hybrids were a huge difference over my previous Edge clubs. I'm very happy with my purchase they are expensive but worth a few more dollars than the Taylormade or the other clubs I tried out. I would like to thank Callaway for staying ahead of its competition and improving my game. They may or may not work for everyone but if your game has gotten shorter because of your age and your fitted properly I think you will love these clubs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2015 Big Bertha Irons Speed Step Steel Shaft in 'R' Flex I road tested these irons earlier in the year with graphite shafts, liked them but felt they were a little too light... so I opted for the stock steel shaft in 6-PW. The slightly longer club length did not bother me and felt the stronger loft would help me. Used them today on a great Par3 course so I could really test the irons out, I found them to be at least one club longer than my X20's but more forgiving and the short irons are deadly accurate. I am probably going to order the Approach wedge due to the increased distance now with the PW. Feel was exceptional also, keeping in mind it is December in Michigan and I was not using a soft ball... Bought 'Like New' and they were really like new...Great Service, Great Irons.. Thanks Cally Pre-Owned

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These irons play as advertised. The irons played great right out of the box. Shot 76 the first round I played with the Big Bertha Irons. They are not very workable but are very straight and long. Works for me.
